BIG news for "Master & Apprentice"...
I’m very excited to start showing off some of the work being done for the up coming “Master & Apprentice” ch. 3 and 4, which is currently in production. If all things can keep going right (an odd thing to say in 2020), then these 2 chapters should be finished up by December 2020, and ready for print in early 2021 (apocalypse pending).
Yeah, its REALLY been a rough year for everyone and thing. If its not the pandemic, than its everything its affecting, or whatever social upheaval or natural disaster is also exasperating things. But, there is some positive highlights to be gleamed through the dark clouds. I’ve been extraordinarily fortunate enough to be able to continue work on my own book, “Master & Apprentice”, and have really been pushing to make sure this next instalment continues to build on all the hard work that came before it, and sets up more cool stuff yet to come. To start, I’ve hired a colour flatter, Mon Amancio, to help with production, which has been a BIG help keeping things moving along. I’m still doing the final colouring work for the book, but having Mon along to help “select and fill” all those shapes and characters takes more than half the burden off my shoulders. Thanks Mon!
After finishing M&A #2, I came to realise that the best way forward for this story was to do more when I was able to continue working on it. With that, I’ve come to the conclusion that single chapter “floppy” comics are a thing of the past, and that the book will now ONLY be released as collected “Acts”, or trade paper backs. So, when M&A 3-4 are released, they’ll be released together with chapters 1-2, collected as “ACT I”. This way, new and existing readers can enjoy more of the book all at once while ACT II is under production … someday.
There will be more news and updates about the eventual release and… OH GOD NO!!… Kickstarter campaign that will serve as the first and BEST place to order M&A ACT I. But for now, huddle about and ogle these cool snippets from M&A ch. 3. Stay safe out there, where ever you are, and stay positive (except for COVID 19, stay negative on that one).
